The Internet Developer Group
Webcast of Presentation orignially made on February 18, 2003
Intellectual Property Protection

This is a webcast of Florian Pestoni from IBM's Almaden Research Laboratories about "Intellectual Property Protection" with an introduction by Bill Selmeier originally made on February 18, 2003. A complete solution to this challenging area usually includes technical, legal and policy aspects. Although concentrating on the technology, Florain touches on all these.

This became a highly interactive session. Simply following the slides will probably not provide a compete picture of the information conveyed. The Session went for slightly more than 2 hours.

IBM Intellectual Property Technology presentation.

NOTE: This is a straight through recording of the meeting including the question and answer period at the close.

Our meetings are held in the Netscape Dining Room in Mountain View, CA.

The video capture is presented in Quicktime. You will need a Quicktime player or plug-in to view it. See the instructions and link below to get Quicktime, if you need it.

Please be patient. Quicktime will be downloading the presentation to your site until it determines, based on your connection speed and the size of the movie (which is very large) that it will be able to play the movie uninterrupted once it starts playing.

Operational Considerations
The steaming video files are very large. You will need to have 300 MB or more of free space on your hard drive to save the stream while it is being played.

If you need to install QuickTime on your Windows or Apple system, you can obtain a free download here.
